Jerry Smith is a lonely veteran who lives alone in a trailer outside of town. Three months ago, he lost his wife. She left him and he doesn’t know how to cope with reality. His best friend, Bill, recommends a doctor who can console him, and Jerry considers. But Jerry is torn by Shakespearean monologues, bouts of illogic, and he’s hearing voices. In particular, he hears the voice of a young woman calling out from the darkness of his mind. Is she real? Does magic exist? Soon, Jerry is visited by his own inner demon (played by Bryan Brewer), and Jerry hits rock bottom.
